Privacy Policy

Effective August 12, 2026

OYOROI ("we," "us," or "our") builds offline-first games, toys, and creative tools. Nothing we make requires an account or a login, none of our apps contain advertising, and none of them run analytics, tracking, or any third-party software development kit that collects data about you. Several are entirely offline and make no network requests at all. Where an app does reach the network, it is for a feature you chose to use: Apple Game Center leaderboards, syncing your own content through your own iCloud account, or a session shared with someone next to you. This policy explains each of those, and how to turn them off. A given app's App Store listing and its in-app credits state which apply to it.

Information We Collect Directly

None beyond what you send us. Our apps run no analytics and no tracking of any kind, and the only information we ever receive directly is what you choose to send us through the contact form on our home page. This website counts page views, described below.

Apps That Collect Nothing At All

Some of our apps have no network access whatsoever. Oyoroi Poker is one: it makes no network requests of any kind, contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs, and has no account or sign-in. Your settings, statistics, and hand history are stored on your device and stay there. Its App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected," and that is a literal description of the app.

Contact Form

If you use the contact form on this site, the email address and message you submit are processed by Formspree, a third-party form service, and delivered to our support inbox. We use that information only to respond to you. Formspree's own privacy policy governs how it handles and retains submissions on our behalf.

Website Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and assigns you no identifier, so there is nothing for it to recognize you by on a later visit or on anyone else's site. It records the page loaded, the site that referred you, and your browser, operating system, and country. Cloudflare receives your IP address in the course of serving the page, as any web host does, and does not keep it in the analytics data. We see totals and never a person, and there is no way for us to work backward from them to you. This applies to the website only. None of our apps contain analytics software of any kind.

Advertising

There is none. No OYOROI app shows ads, contains an advertising SDK, or shares anything with an advertising network, and none of them ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites. If that ever changes for a future title, this policy will be updated to describe it before that title ships.

Game Center

Some of our games, including Oyoroi Balloon and Oyoroi WatchOut, connect to Apple Game Center for leaderboards and achievements. This uses the Game Center account already signed in on your device; we never see or receive your Apple ID, email address, or real name. Your scores and achievement progress are transmitted to and stored by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy, not ours. Where a game shares a value like your last score with its own Watch complication or widget, that stays local to your device and is never sent anywhere.

Content You Create, iCloud Sync, and Local Sessions

Some of our apps let you create and store your own content, such as the song libraries and setlists in Oyoroi Jam. That content is stored on your device. Where an app offers syncing across your own devices, it uses Apple's CloudKit to store a copy in the private database of the iCloud account already signed in on the device. That database belongs to you, not to us: we have no access to it, receive no copy of it, and cannot read what it holds. It's governed by Apple's privacy policy. Turning off iCloud for the app in your device settings stops the syncing and leaves your content local.

Where an app offers a shared session with people nearby, such as Oyoroi Jam's jam sessions, that connection runs directly between the devices over your local Wi-Fi network or peer-to-peer radio, using Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework. Whatever is shared for the session, such as the song being played, goes only to the devices you connect with, and never passes through a server of ours. Joining a session requires the host to approve the request, and the app asks for local network permission the first time. If you export or share a file from one of our apps, it goes wherever you send it. That's your own share sheet, and we're not involved.

Crash Reports

Our apps contain no crash-reporting or performance-monitoring software. What we do see is what Apple already collects on its own: if you have left "Share With App Developers" turned on under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share crash logs and aggregate performance measurements from your device with the developer of the app that crashed. Apple collects that, not us, under Apple's privacy policy, and it reaches us through Apple's developer tools with no identifying information attached. Turning that setting off stops it for every app on your device, ours included.

Your Choices

Children's Privacy

OYOROI games are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. Some of our games, including any that simulate gambling such as poker, carry an age rating restricting them to adult audiences, for example 17+ on the App Store. That rating reflects game content and is independent of this children's-privacy commitment; it does not mean those titles handle data differently. If we ever release a title actually directed at children, it will ship with an amended policy specific to that title.

Changes to This Policy

We'll update this policy before shipping anything that changes what leaves your device: a new online feature, a service we hand data to, or advertising in a title that has none today. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date.
